So, I have been looking for specs and more info on Porsche's 1961 F1 entry, the 718. Was it exactly alike the one they ran in 196o for Formula 2? I have only been able to find info on the Normal 2-seater 718, but the 718 F1 entry had less bodywork, so naturally it would have less weight. Please dropa link to the source if you do find info thanks, I have not had much luck.

The 1961 season pretty much took the previous years' F2 regulations and made them the new F1 regulations, with the F2 regulations changing as a result.

So yeah, Porsche basically took their previous year F2 car that magically became an F1 car, and ran in F1 with that in 1961. They developed the 804 for the 1962 season, read up on that here: http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/car/704/Porsch…
